Intimate partner violence and abuse don’t end with age and neither should our response. Many older survivors remain unseen and unsupported. Raising awareness and strengthening responses is critical.

Today, our Executive Director, Seema Kak was honored to serve as a panelist at the national webinar “Intimate Partner Violence and Elder Abuse Later in Life,” hosted by Health Partners on IPV + Exploitation and National Center on Elder Abuse.

At Kiran, we are grateful for opportunities like this to share our ground-level experiences supporting survivors, and to join healthcare providers, advocates, and community partners in strengthening conversations, assessments, and pathways to care for older adults experiencing domestic violence.
